The modern world, and aliens
If you have been listening to current news and reports, you should have heard that the world is relentlessly searching for aliens to help them discover the mystery of the existence of the universe and humanity and how their eternal value can be retained on earth. Some individuals even claimed to have been seeing and communicating with these beings, meaning that they also have been receiving messages from them and spreading across the globe. This is not strange to us since God has already revealed that such will happen in the latter days.
God has already revealed the mystery of the universe and humanity to the world in his word. He is the all-knowing God who created the whole world and everything in it. He has also revealed the fate of the present world and the way of escape for everyone. He loves humanity because he created them in his own image. This is why he sent His only Son to save the world and gives whosoever believes in him eternal life. He has also promised a new heaven and earth in which believers will spend their eternity. Through Christ, we have everything because he is the power and wisdom of God. In him is everything, and in him everything consists. 1 Corinthians 1:24; Col. 15-20. He was in the beginning, and because of this, he has a perfect knowledge of everything about life. To say it all, He is the very mystery that was kept hidden in the beginning, but now he has been revealed to us, which is Christ in us, the hope of glory. Col. 1:27.
However, the world does not believe in this; instead, they keep searching and receiving messages from the aliens. Many times in the course of their researching for knowledge, they came to the point that there is a super intelligent being somewhere, which is God. They know God, but they do not want to acknowledge and give all glory to Him as God. No wonder the Bible says thus: “Because when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” {Romans 1:21}
Aliens are extraterritorial beings that can be found in outer space. They are strange creatures possessing some parts of human nature and appear naked according to reports and photos of them. As said, these beings are believed to have possessed some supernatural knowledge about our planet Earth, probably because of their strange nature or longevity of existence. They are popularly called Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), Unidentified Aerial Objects (MFOs), Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), etc.
However, no matter their names and how they are being fashioned to look acceptable, they cannot give solutions to the problems of the present day. The Bible makes us understand that they are demons, seducing spirits who can only leave humans with nothing but deceptions and destructions. They are sent by Satan to deceive the world, especially in these end times. And this is why many claimed to have encountered them and received messages from them. The following are some of their messages that are contrary to God’s word.
- New Age ideas of spirituality
- Evolution of man
- Reincarnation
- God as a force or energy
- Unification of every soul into one, etc.
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.” 1 Timothy 4:1-2}.
Paul had already revealed this to us in his word above about what is happening today. It is therefore very pathetic to see that these messages have been spreading rapidly around the world with a great number of people accepting them; even some believers have departed from the faith as prophesied to believe in these lies. We know that we are in the end times, in which the prophecy must be fulfilled; however, we have to be very careful and earnestly content for the faith that was once delivered unto us in Jude 1:3.
These people are using strong motivational and persuasive words to draw followers—words that can seduce or easily influence the hearts of the people, and none of their expressions can reveal their lies. This is why Paul refers to the appearances of the false teachers in the text as hypocrisy and the spirits that work in them as seducing spirits.
In conclusion:
As Christians, we should never believe anyone who claims to have had a had a supernatural encounter with the aliens and has received a message from them. No message can be as true as what the Bible has already told us, and the truth cannot be changed over time. Therefore, let us hold onto the scripture with unwavering faith till Christ comes.
